Our Annual Commomoration Of The Resistance of Tenochtitlan 1521
Danza Azteca Taxcayolotl would like to invite you to our annual Danza Azteca ceremony in honor of Huey-Tlatoani Cuauhtemoc (the last Aztec leader) and the resistance of the people of Mexico-Tenochtitlan. We will be honoring our fallen soldiers and ancestors rooted deep in the lands of Aztlan.
The annual Aztec dance ceremony will take place on Saturday, August 15, 2015, and will bring together over 50 dancers from around Texas. They will be dressed in colorful regalia, wear headdress with beautiful long feathers, and will utilize natural instruments to compose traditional rhythms for ceremonial dancing in the historic Second Ward of Houston. Through dance steps and drum beats, the dancers will be ho...noring generations of indigenous traditions.
All dancers who are traveling from out of town and are in need of lodging please contact us at taxcayolotl@gmail.com.

Danza Azteca Taxcayolotl quiere invitarle a asistir a nuestra ceremonia anual en honor a el Huey Tlatoani Cuauhtémoc-(el último líder azteca) y la resistencia de los habitantes de México-Tenochtitlán. Estaremos honrando a nuestros soldados caídos y antepasados enraizados en las tierras de Aztlán.
La ceremonia de la danza se llevara a cabo el sábado, 16 de agosto del 2014, en donde se reunirán más de 50 danzantes de todo Tejas. Estarán vestidos en regalía lleno de color, penachos arreglados con hermosas plumas largas, y utilizando instrumentos naturales para componer ritmos tradicionales para la danza ceremonial en el histórico Segundo Barrio de Houston. Los danzantes estarán rindiendo homenaje a las generaciones de las tradiciones indígenas por medio de los pasos de baile y ritmos del tambor.
