Commemorating the Resistance of Tenochtitlan 1521
This annual Aztec dance ceremony, which will bring together over 50 dancers from across the nation, will take place on Saturday-August 12, 2017. Aztec dancers will be dressed in colorful regalia and will utilize natural instruments to compose traditional rhythms for ceremonial dancing in the historic Second Ward of Houston, TX. Through dance steps and drum beats, descendants of this Mexica tradition will be honoring generations of this indigenous culture.

Danza Azteca Taxcayolotl los invita a asistir a nuestra ceremonia anual en honor del Huey Tlatoani Cuauhtémoc-(el último líder de Tenochtitlán) y la resistencia de los habitantes de México-Tenochtitlán. Honraremos a nuestros guerrero(a)s así como a nuestros antepasados enraizados en las tierras de Aztlán.
La ceremonia de la danza, en donde se reunirán más de 50 danzantes de toda la nación, se llevará acabo el Sábado día
12 de agosto del 2017. Los/las danzantes estarán vestidos en regalía lleno de color, utilizando instrumentos naturales para componer ritmos tradicionales para la danza ceremonial en el histórico Segundo Barrio de Houston, TX. Los/las descendientes de esta tradición Mexica honrarán a generaciones de esta cultura indígena por medio de los pasos de danza y ritmos del tambor.
