In Honor of the Resistance of Mexico-Tenochtitlan 2021

The annual Aztec dance ceremony will take place on Saturday, August 14, 2021, and will bring together over 50 dancers from around Texas. They will be dressed in colorful regalia, wear headdress with beautiful long feathers, and will utilize natural instruments to compose traditional rhythms for ceremonial dancing in the historic Second Ward of Houston. Through dance steps and drum beats, the dancers will be honoring generations of indigenous traditions.
++++ Note to all danzantes since we are meeting in a group larger than 10 people we will be abiding by covid19 health regulations. If you are not vaccinated please wear a mask, bring hand sanitizer, wash your hand regularly, don't share armas, drink from your own container only, and try to keep a nice distance from each other. Danza Azteca Taxcayolotl quiere invitarle a asistir a nuestra ceremonia anual en honor de la resistencia de los habitantes de México-Tenochtitlán. Estaremos honrando a nuestros soldados caídos y antepasados enraizados en las tierras de Aztlán.
La ceremonia de la danza se llevara a cabo el Sábado, 14 de Agosto del 2021, en donde se reunirán más de 50 danzantes de todo Tejas. Estarán vestidos en regalía lleno de color, penachos arreglados con hermosas plumas largas, y utilizando instrumentos naturales para componer ritmos tradicionales para la danza ceremonial en el histórico Segundo Barrio de Houston. Los danzantes estarán rindiendo homenaje a las generaciones de las tradiciones indígenas por medio de los pasos de baile y ritmos del tambor.
++++Nota para todos los danzantes, dado que nos reuniremos en grupos más de 10 personas, estaremos cumpliendo con las reglamentos de salud de covid19. Si no está vacunado use una máscaria, traiga desinfectante de manos, lávese las manos con regularidad, no comparta armas, beba solo de su propio recipiente y trate de mantener una buena distancia entre nosotros.
